longing is said to be a good thing
It is supposed to work as a catalyst to action
what happens if you long for something
but don't know what to DO to move toward it

What if what you long for is to return to last night
to try to catch love one more time
To dance forever
to party into eternity

I can still feel her arm around my waist
I biked her home in the freezing cold
my hands felt like they were going to fall off
as I kept her hands warm in the pocket of my coat

We found the house she was staying at
she thanks me with a hug
and goes inside
i bike away

The movie goodbye kiss
Utterly skipped and my chest aches
but in my drunken stupor the depression doesn't set in
Until the next morning

She is gone and I probably won't see her again
I knew her for two whole days
but she represented something I want
something I long for.
